Anne taught my son in choir in middle school. Not only did the kids absolutely love her they were REALLY good! She whipped them right into shape and would receive high marks from judges! She also taught my younger son who joined the Voices United Youth Choir. She cares about kids so much and loves working with them. She holds kids to a standard and helps them achieve said standard. My daughter is also in the youth choir, and all I can say is how impressive it is to hear them sing. She loves it! The selection of music is entertaining and challenging at just the right level. The kids seem to really enjoy having an outlet for their talents, and choir rehearsals are a mix of hard work, fun and humor. I also used to work with Anne professionally and have known her for a long time. She is always checking for the newest research and methods in teaching music. She is professional in her demeanor and is focused on helping your child progress in their learning.

Great atmosphere, everyone is very kind. Choir sounds great too! 10/10 would join again. Anne is a great teacher, and just a fun and amazing person in general. I've been a student of Mrs. Carlson for 4 years, and I can say that she is one of the best teachers I know, and is usually very nice, but she will tell you if you are not doing what you are supposed to without sugar coating anything.
